Changing demands within Automotive Testing – Webinar

Gantner Instruments is proud to announce that is has delivered it’s Q.series Data Acquisition System to the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for their Villum Center for Advanced Structural and Material Testing (CASMaT). The center is a collaboration between DTU Civil Engineering, DTU Mechanical Engineering and DTU Wind Energy with the objective to strengthen experimental research in mechanics of structures and materials. A large donation from VILLUM FONDEN made it possible to establish the center.

Hydrogen systems are a steadily growing field encompassing several technologies, such as liquefied hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cells, and cryogenic engines. These require meticulous temperature monitoring to ensure system integrity and performance. Operating in these low-temperature environments presents unique challenges, such as thermal contraction of materials, sensor self-heating, and the non-linearity of cryogenic sensors. Without accurate measurement, performance degradation and potential system failures become risks.

Connectivity and flexible integration of our high-accuracy and high-speed I/O modules into any automation system is in our DNA. That is why we have made our high-performance Q.series X I/O modules available for easy and comfortable integration into TwinCAT, the EtherCAT master from Beckhoff.

For short-term or rout-based condition monitoring of various assets we now provide a portable system solution. Our new Q.series Portable based on Q.station 101 and OEM-boards for analog and digital inputs contained in a robust transport case is fully engineered and ready to use ‘out of the box’. The electronic boards and the power supply system are mounted on shock absorbers to withstand heavy-duty work under harsh environments in the field.
