Dynamic High Voltage Measurement: Q.series X A128 Plus SEB

Gantner Instruments introduces the Q.series X A128 Plus SEB, a dynamic high-voltage data acquisition solution.

Versatile High-Voltage Measurement

Equipped with four galvanically isolated input channels, the A128 Plus SEB accommodates voltages up to ±1500 V, ±600 V, ±300 V, or ±100 V, catering to a wide range of high-voltage applications such as battery module or pack voltage measurements or power distribution, motor control, and energy monitoring. With its 24-bit ADC and 100 kHz sample rate per channel, this module ensures fast, high-accuracy digitalization, making it ideal for applications requiring precise measurements in challenging environments.

Enhanced Isolation

The continuous isolation of 1500 VDC between channels, power supply, and bus within the Q.series X A128 Plus SEB module is a critical feature ensuring the integrity and reliability of data acquisition in high-voltage environments. This level of isolation acts as a robust barrier, preventing electrical damage and ensuring the high accuracy of measurements. Maintaining such isolation is essential in high-voltage applications, where the risk of electrical surges or fluctuations is inherent. By effectively isolating each channel and the power supply from each other and the bus system, the module provides a secure environment for precise measurement. This isolation not only safeguards sensitive measurement equipment but also ensures the safety of personnel operating near the system. Engineers can rely on the A128 Plus SEB to deliver consistent and accurate measurements, even in the most demanding industrial settings where electrical noise and interference are prevalent.

Signal Processing

The Q.series X A128 Plus SEB module offers advanced signal processing features tailored for analyzing complex engineering signals. It includes linearization, digital filtering, averaging, and RMS calculation. Digital Filtering enhances data quality by removing unwanted noise or artifacts from acquired signals, enabling accurate analysis and interpretation in noisy environments. Averaging smoothes out fluctuations in measured signals, providing a clearer representation of underlying trends or patterns, which is particularly beneficial for mitigating intermittent or random noise. RMS (Root Mean Square) Calculation quantifies signal characteristics such as average power or intensity over specific time periods, offering valuable insights into signal behavior. These features empower engineers to extract valuable insights from raw data with precision and accuracy, facilitating informed decision-making and optimizing system performance.

Robust Design and Compatibility

Constructed with aluminum and ABS housing, the A128 Plus SEB is built to withstand harsh industrial environments, ensuring long-term reliability and durability operating within a temperature range from -20°C to +60°C. Its modular, DIN Rail mountable enclosure allows easy integration into existing systems and seamless expansion when needed. Furthermore, its compatibility with various communication interfaces with our controller Q.station, such as EtherCAT, CAN-FD, ModbusTCP, Profinet, and OPC UA, ensures seamless integration into diverse industrial systems.
