We are now approaching the end of a very interesting year

The first year of the worldwide economic crisis is coming to a close and has left its vestiges. But, if we are to believe economic experts and politicians, things are slowly starting to improve. We all hope that this crisis will have a positive effect to achieve more discerning action by those responsible in the economy and politics

For Gantner Instruments the closing year has been a successful one, in which we were able to increase our turnover figures moderately. Compared with other competitors in the branch, some of whom suffered decreases of up to 20 % in their turnover, we were successful in expanding our share on the market.

This growth is particularly the result of:

• Our high quality products
• Our personal proximity to our customers
• Our new Q.series products
• Our international activities, and last, but not least
• Our increasing degree of popularity.

New universal measuring module for Q.series system

The Q.bloxx A107 measuring module offers a variety of compact features at a fair price. Most important features:

• 4 galvanically isolated measuring channels
• 10 kHz measuring rate per channel
• 24 bit ADC
• Signal conditioning
• Hot swap

The following types of sensors can be connected:

• Voltage and current
• Potentiometers
• Resistors and Pt100
• Thermocouples
• Measuring bridges

10,000 values via EtherCAT with new Q.pac EC Test Controller

64 real variables can be read and written via EtherCAT with the new Q.pac EC Test Controller. This is the maximum possible transfer rate for EtherCAT.

With the test.con programming system, sequence controls, control circuits, mathematical and numerical functions, combinations, data stores (128 MBytes) and many other applications can be programmed graphically and loaded in the Q.pac, where the functions run autonomously.

Other product features include:

• Connection possibility for 64 Q.bloxx modules
• Capture of 256 real variables
• Configuration as FTP server or FTP client
• Synchronization and time marking for all measured values

Information on Q.series system

Since introduction on the market this summer, the market resonance for our new product line has been very positive. Particularly the dynamic characteristics and accuracy of the Q.series are unique for a universal and decentralized measuring system.

The high packing density and modularity allow configuration of very efficient and target-oriented, compact measuring systems.

Here all measuring channels are galvanically isolated from one another, from the interface and the power supply
