Evaluation of the Metro in Rennes/France

Evaluation of the Metro in Rennes/France

To ensure passengers safty and convenience quantities like force, torque, vibration, accelerations has to be measured during operation of a train. As a pilot project a passage of 29 stations has to be monitored.

In the train there are the adequate measuring modules and an e.pac DL installed. During the drive allmeasurements data are stored in the e.pac DL and at each station the data file will be closed so that for each 29 stations a data file is available. At the final station of the line a data server is located. When the train arrives with the signal "doors open" the data files will be automatically transferred to the server by a Wi-Fi Network. This 29 data files give all required information regarding the ride of the Metro. Further it is possible with e.pac DL to do some calculation for minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation.

The whole monitoring is running 100 % automatically.
