Gantner Instruments GmbH and optiMeas GmbH — Cooperation for complete instrumentation solutions

Together the two companies provide equipment for assignments such as remote monitoring of approx. 300 measuring points (temperatures, voltages, currents) for measuring thermal loads in pipe lines in nuclear reactors. Together with the nuclear power plant producer AREVA, the FAMOS Fatigue Monitoring System was equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and software. Based on high precision temperature capture, the system provides on-line monitoring of relevant nuclear power plant components for material fatigue. The data obtained serves for many aspects of system operation as well as providing the basis for actual calculation of the material fatigue. Beyond this it provides the only realistic basis for determining the service life of individual system elements.
