Distributed Systems

Module design for installation on DIN rails

This typical layout for distributed instrumentation offers maximum flexibility. This means that virtually all modules can be put together as required to obtain optimum adaptation to the specific application as well as a spatially distributed module arrangement.

The advantages are obvious:
Only the number of measuring modules required for the measuring application are used. This optimizes costs. A distributed solution ensures an optimum cost/benefit ratio, particularly for small measuring setups.

The measuring modules can be positioned locally in the vicinity of the measuring points and connected over a serial interface. This reduces wiring requirements, is easy to service and, above all, the short sensor lines make the measurement less sensitive to interference and therefore more stable and precise.
